possible for us to do what we do, and for you to enjoy what we do, along with other forms
of adult entertainment. That man is none other than Larry Flynt firmly believed that there was nothing illegal, nor shameful about his view of sexually explicit material and adult entertainment. Despite his arrests for pandering and obscenity, Larry continued to fight for his beliefs and dared to reveal more of women in his first issue of Hustler Magazine than any other magazine ever had. Larry was raised in Kentucky and moved to Cincinnati, Ohio, where he got his start in the adult entertainment field. The now notorious Hustler Magazine, which originally started out at what was supposed to be a simple adult newsletter, has exploded into an adult free for all of revealing material that has paved the way for you and I in today's industry. After numerous years in and out of various courts, Larry believed that if the 1st Amendment would protect him, it would protect all. While on trial in 1978, in Lawrenceville County Court, in Georgia. Larry and his attorney, Allen Isaacman, were shot by an unknown assailant; leaving Larry paralyzed from the waist down. He remains confined to a wheelchair to this very day. Finally, in 1987, in Washington D.C., Larry and his attorney went to the Supreme Court. It was during this hearing, that Larry's many years of determination made the battle worth fighting, when Supreme Court Chief Justice, William Rehnquest handed down this verdict: "At the heart of the 1st amendment, is the recognition of the fundamental importance of the free flow of ideas. Freedom to speak one's mind is not only an aspect of individual liberty, but essential to the quest for truth and the vitality of society as a whole. In the world of debate about public affairs, many things done with motives that are less than admirable are none the less protected by the 1st amendment.
